Transfers <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked if the airport money had to stay in the budget this <br />year, <br /> <br />Councilman Cox suggested cutting it in half to show the City's sincerity. <br />He said if $60,000 was taken off for lowe~ level remodeling, it would <br />be 1.8 mills. He recommended keeping the mill rate at 16 or 17 mills. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggesting dropping the I and using the .8 to <br />get started on the bathroom. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said the City could just put in the ceiling and floors. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the toilet is a major factor. <br />He thought the City could come up with a HUD grant for it.- <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he thought it is the best us~ the City <br />could make of that money. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he thought the City should pull the whole thing <br />from the budget. The people in the commercial areas are picking up the <br />biggest part of the taxes and it isn't the residences that would hurt but <br />the commercial people. The City is running their industrial people <br />out, <br /> <br />The budget would be finalized at the regular council meeting of <br />November 10, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to <br />adjourn the special meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox.
