I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner inquired'if raising the deductible on City vehicles <br />wouldn't lower the premiums somewhat. <br /> <br />Council directed City Staff to further investigate Councilmember Van Wagner's <br />suggestion. <br /> <br />b. Animal Control. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle informed Council that Mr. Wax is terminating his operation and <br />the City does need animal control. <br /> <br />c. Variance of subdivision of land. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that Mr. R. D. Scott is requesting a variance to sell off <br />17 acres of his land without going through subdivision code. Mr. Schnelle <br />inquired that if Mr. Scott met all criteria, what would the consensus of <br />Council be to this request. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to grant a variance to Mr. Scott. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />~a~se #~7- HY 10 Ramses: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />grant Mr. Jack Menkveld a six (6) month extension to his plat of HY 10 Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Voting No' None. Absent: <br />out of Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg and Van Wagner. <br />Mayor Gamec. Councilmember Cox was temporarily <br /> <br />Case #8: Pondvale Estates: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to grant <br />a six (6) month extension to Mr. Benjamin Deemer for blacktopping Pondvale <br />Estates. Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox feels Council should discuss <br />with Mr. Deemer the fact that he is selling lots on the basis that the streets <br />will be blacktopped. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg withdraws his original motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to grant <br />a forty-five (.45) day extension to Mr. Benjamin Deemer for blacktopping <br />Pondvale Estates, and further that Mr. Benjamin Deemer be present at the next <br />regular Council Meeting to answer any questions Council might have. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg, Van Wagner and <br />· Cox. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Landfill - Mr. Goodrich stated that the County just voted 4 to I to recommend <br />to Metro Council that the present dumping site be excluded from Site P. This <br />is contrary to both the City's of Anoka and Ramsey's wishes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Resolution #82-119 to direct City Staff to send a letter to the Metro Council <br />emphasizing Ramsey's recommendation and further to indicate that Ramsey desires <br /> <br />C/August 24, 1982 <br /> Page 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
