I
I
I
I
I
!

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Access ont~ County Road #56:

Councilmember Reimann requested an update on the status of Mr. Duane Lee's
driveway onto Cty. Rd. #56. He went on to comment that the City made a
decision and that decision has been set to the side and now there will be
more cost involved to have that driveway removed.

Mr. Goodrich stated that there are substantial legal problems involved, that
the City has to wait for the County to take action.

Mr. Schnelle commented that the City made a mistake when they allowed Del
Skeim two driveways onto Nowthen Blvd., that the City is setting a precedence.

Councilmember Cox stated that he voted in favor of allowing Del Skeim two
accesses because it would not have made any difference if he had voted "No".
He went on to comment that down the line, the citizens are going to end up
paying for Council's mistakes.

_R~est for Access_o_r~v Building:

Councilmember Cox stated that Mr. Kenneth Miller, 13914 Sunfish Lake Blvd.,
applied for a building permit for an accessory building to be larger than
code allows and was told by the Building Inspector that he would have to go
through the Board of Adjustment process. Councilmember Cox went on to say
that Mr. Miller would rather not go through Board of Adjustment process
because of the cost involved. The building would be in an Industrial area,
therefore the size would not be a problem, but there is a problem with the
side yard setback and a building of that size will provide additional tax
base to the community.

Councilmember Reimann stated that zero lot line has been discussed in the past
and that some changes should be made in order that the best use of commercial
property is possible.

Councilmember Cox stated that Mr. Greenberg situated the road and ditch right
on Mr. Miller's property line and it has never been deeded over to the City
and Mr. Miller would not have a side yard setback problem if it weren't for
that fact.

Council consensus is that Mr. Kenneth Miller will have to go through the
Board of Adjustment process.

Cable T.V.'

Councilmember Reimann stated that the last Cable T.V. Meeting was Monday,
August 24, 1982 and that now the Cable T.V. Commission is finished. Now
it is up to City Council to choose two persons to serve as liaison between
the City and Teleprompter, preferably, upon Mr. Schnelle's suggestion, a
councilmember and a citizen. Councilmember Reimann stated that Teleprompter
is looking at renting a building in Anoka at which they could locate their
tower and headquarters and that he suggested they looked in the possibility
of renting the Ramsey fire barn. Councilmember Reimann feels it would be
advantageous to get Teleprompter to rent in Ramsey.

Mayor Gamec stated that Teleprompter should locate in a commercial area, and
that the fire barn in Ramsey is needed for storage of City vehicles and
equipment.

Sp C/August 31, 1982
Page 2
