Mayor Gamec staked that
}~e informed Mr. Peltzer that if another extension were granted it would be on
~he provision that Mr. Peltzer pay the $300 permit fee.

Berg stated that it would be against ordinance to grant another extension.

¢7~uncilmember Reimann stated that the City should start proceedings to have
the mobile home removed because Mr. Peltzer has not been at all cooperative.

7~7otion by Councilme;mber Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to
authorize City Staff to initiate proceedings to have the mobile home removed.

I
I
I

Further Discussion: Mayor Gamec stated that Mr. Peltzer indicated that if
any action, other than an extension of time, is taken, would Council consider
delaying that action until the next regular Council meeting, at which time
Mr. Peltzer could be present. Councilmember Sorteberg stated that Mr. Peltzer
has had plenty of opportunities to cooperate with the City on this mat~er.
Councilmember Cox feels that it should be indicated to Mr. Peltzer that it
was hard for Council to take any extension action when he hasn't even posted
bond yet. Councilmember Reimann stated that action should start right away -
regarding the bond also. ''

I
I
I
I

Motion carried. At this meeting, Ed
Fields introduced a letter which he had received from Councilmember Cox
in regards to Ramsey landfill proposed Site "P". Ms. Gallagher stated
that a motion was made and passed to recommend Metro Council reveuse
previous action taken to include the existing landfill as part of Site "P"
and any further action be delayed in order that Ramsey can have a study
performed regarding Ramsey site being included as a landfill candidate.

Councilmember Cox stated that the next step is to have City Attorney find
out where Ramsey stands with regards to the Metro Council now. Council-
member Cox also requested that Mr. Goodrich submit to the County Ramsey's
interpretation of above mentioned motion before the minutes of that meeting
~re documented. Co%mcilmember Cox also stated that if Ramsey does go ahead
with having a study of the site performed, it should not be in conjunction
w~th the Co~ty.

l~r. Schnelle stated that if Ramsey qualifies for a solid waste landfill,
it will automatically qualify for a hazardous waste landfill.

C/September 28, 1982
Page 10
