Ai>plication was received by Mr. A1 Bullick to rezone Lot 4, Block 3 of <br /> Riverside West Addition. <br /> <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />2. ]?~blic hearing was duly held and conducted on October 5, 1982. <br /> <br />3. Planning Commission received a petition to recommend denial of rezoning <br /> based on the following facts: <br /> <br />a. A buffer zone between residential and con~nercial must be <br /> maintained to protect property value~ <br /> <br />b. There are plenty of unsold and unbuilt comme~cial lots available, <br /> that there is no need for anymore at this time. <br /> <br />4. That the subject property is located within the Critical Rivers Area <br /> of the Mississipi. <br /> <br />R]~ere is currently existing adequate commercial and industrial land <br />that can be developed as commercial land for commercial uses in this <br />City and in the immediate area of this proposed rezoning property. <br /> <br />6. City recently completed it's Comprehensive Plan and nowhere was this <br /> matter brough forth as an issue for potential rezoning of this property. <br /> <br />Rezoning to remove residential property conflict only results in another <br />residential property conflict at another location. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Schneider to accept <br />and approve the above Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn, Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, Schneider and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Isakson. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Schneider to recommend <br />to City Council that they deny Mr. A1 Bullick's application for rezoning of <br />Lot 4, Block 3 Riverside West from Residential R-1 to Business B-1 based on <br />the above Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn, Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, Schneider and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Coramissioner Isakson. <br /> <br />Case #2: Transportation Development Guide/Policy Plan For 2000 (TPP): <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Schneider to make <br />the following recommendations to Ramsey City Council: <br /> <br />1. State Hwy. #47 should be updated either with bicycle paths or pedestrian <br /> walkways at least as far as County Rd. #5. <br /> <br />2. ~;¢~te that the P & Z Commission is in favor of the 610 bridge crossing <br /> and some updating of Hwy. 10. <br /> <br />P & Z/October 5, 1982 <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
