Mayor Camec further stated that this proposed <br />expansion was in the original plans, has already been approved and there <br />isn't much the City of Ramsey can do to prevent it, but any further <br />expansion or fill into the virgin soil should definitely include a liner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated %hat the City should not allow for this <br />expansion, it should be stopped now. <br /> <br />Mayor G~mec replied that technically, the City would lose if we deny <br />this expansion, that the City could end up with no liner at all. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle commented that there is no point in Ramsey getting involved -- <br />the expansion has already been approved by the County. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that PCA is trying to put Ramsey on the spot. <br /> <br /> Council directs City Engineer Raatikka to prepare a letter to be sent to <br /> Bruce Brott of the MPCA regarding amendment to Waste Management's Landfill <br /> Permit in Ramsey. R~fer to Page 9, Par.agraph. 7 for'furthe~ctlon taken~ <br /> <br />Case #5: Extension Of Time Regarding Filing Of Original Plat, Request For; <br /> Case Of Ramse¥ Commons: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />approve of granting a six month extension of time which will eXPire June 21, <br />1983 in the filing of the Ramsey Commons plat. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ga~ec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Per Diem Allowance For Advisory Committee Members: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg directed that Item 93 be deleted from the proposed <br />resolution regarding per diem allowance for advisory committee members. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #83-6 to establish a City policy for the payment of per <br />diem to persons who Council appoints to Council, Metro or State advisory <br />commissions/committees.
