'1
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
i
I
I
I
I
I

Commissioner Schneider stated that a feasibility study was prepared about one
year ago and on the basis of that study she does not feel that sewer and water
are affordable in the City of Ramsey and she shares a lot of Commissioner
Isakson's concerns.

Mr. Clayton Berg commented that the City has already received petitions requesting
sewer and water service. H~ further stated that the City has been requesting
public improvements for ten years and now Metro Waste Control has provided it
and the City is expected to make use of it and the wheels are turning. These
concerns should have been brought to the attention of City Council 15 years
ago.

Commissioner Isakson stated that he is not against public utilities, but the
utilities planned are for along Hwy. #10 and the financial burden will be great
enough that everybody in the City will be impacted.

Darryl Fults, who was present, commented that the public hearing regarding
public utilities was a farce, that it was supposed to address the issue of
public improvement policy and most of the discussion involved private.citizens
concerned with "when" and "cost".

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded Commissioner ISakson"t0 adjourn
the special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

Motion carried.
