Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to accept the petition objecting to a micro-wave tower being located at <br />16510 Nowthen Blvd. NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />The regular Council Meeting adjourned at 8:02 P.M. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearing: <br /> <br />1) Street Improvement Project #83-1 (Variolite Street NW and 155th <br /> Avenue NW). <br /> <br />The regular Council Meeting was called back to Order at 8:38 P.M. <br /> <br />Council then resumed: <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Request For Conditional Use Permit; Case of Group W Cable: <br /> <br />Refer to Page 10, Paragraph 1 of these minutes. <br /> <br />Case #3: Adoption Of Utility Assessment Ordinance: <br /> <br />Refer to Page 12, Paragraph 9 of these minutes. <br /> <br />~ase #4: Adoption Of Resolution Orderinq Improvement And Preparation Of <br /> Plans And Specifications For Street Improvement Project #83-1, <br /> <br />155th Avenue NW and Variolite Street NW:~ <br /> <br />Council noted receiving a petition objecting to Street Improvement Project <br />#83-1. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he has not seen any MSA street yet that has been <br />assessed to the residents and further that Street Improvement Project #83-1 <br />should be handled as a normal MSA street and not assess the abutting <br />properties. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner agreed with Mayor Gamec, and Councilmember Schlueter <br />stated that she is not ready to make a decision at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle advised Council to use caution in designating City Genera1 Fund <br />monies. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that she would like to review the financial <br />aspects of the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City has always come up with the money before <br />and the City should in thi's case also.- <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />table this case until the March 22, 1983 regular Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: MaYor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter, <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None.
