Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#17-01-031 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERIM STRUCTURE FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, in order to progress several long term and strategic policies directed by the City Council and to maximize effectiveness of time and talent within the Community Development Department, the City is recommending an interim structure for the Community Development Department; and, WHEREAS, an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also increase continuity within the department; and WHEREAS, an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also increase communication and administration for the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also increase communication with the public for timely updates on development related projects; and, WHEREAS, the proposed interim structure is budget neutral. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby authorizes an interim structure for the Community Development Department assigning leadership of the Planning Division to the City Planner and assigning leadership of the Building Division to the Building Official; and, 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves a temporary monthly stipend in the amount of $390.00 per month for the City Planner through on December 31, 2017; and, 3) That the City of Ramsey approved a market rate adjustment for the Building Official previously, and no wage adjustment is being proposed at this time. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent:
