PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing by the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission was held on <br />April 5, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Bamsey, Minnesota, regarding Amendment to House Size Ordinance. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Arthur Dunn <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Robert Isakson <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Clayton Berg, City Building Official <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ms. Kathy Schneider <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:36 P.M. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that basically, the proposed amendment to the House <br />Size Ordinance refers to multi~ family dwellings and efficiency units. <br /> <br />Brenda Bauerkemper - 162nd Lane - Inquired as to floor size for an efficiency <br />unit. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg replied that he believed it was 220 square feet, according to State <br />building code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer noted, and Commission agreed-that there should be some <br />wording changes made to Subd.2 of the proposed amendment, Section 1, 170.014C. <br /> <br />Jim Gilbertson - 6131 Hwy. 10 - Regarding zero lot line mentioned in the proposed <br />ordinance, has an application been made. <br /> <br />Commission replied that it was for future reference. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that he disagrees with house size disparity between <br />rambler and split level. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg replied that the size requirement difference is because it is not <br />always, possible to construct bedrooms in the basement of a rambler, that a <br />split is more workable. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 8:48 P.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Secretary <br /> <br />Lloyd G.
