LaDue stated that it is time the City started thinking about the commercial
business staying alive, that nothing is carved in stone. C~mmissioner Dunn
stated that it is not necessary to subdivide in speculation of sewer and water.
Commissioner Deemer stated that if Mr. Gilbertson would consider subdividing
by platting, the Commission could get more of a handle on the situation.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn, Zimmerman,
Deemer and Isakson. Voting No: Commissioner LaDue. Absent: Commissioner
Schneider.

_Case #2: Amendment To House Size Ordinance:

Commissioner Deemer restated his feeling that there should be no size discrepancy
between a rambler and a split, that the prefer they both be set at 960 square
feet.

Marilyn Gallagher.- 151st Ave. N.W. - Stated that aesthetically a 912 square
foot split looks O.K., but even a 960 square foot rambler looks junky. Does
the City want to see small homes like this situated next to much larger homes?
Should Ramsey lower it's standards now?

Commissioner Dunn replied that if sewer and'water comes and property owners
subdivide into 80' lots, the 912 square footage won't look so small.

Mr. Berg stated that the City should allow for homes that would be comparable
in cost to mobile homes or else the City ~s going to have to allow mobile
homes, which is now thee State law.

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Dunn to recommend
approval of the House Size Ordinance to the City Council, with the following
corrections:

Section 1. Amendment, 170.014L Residential Structure Size, Subd. 1
One Family Structures

Rambler without garage

912 square Feet-~ ........

2.
