Councilmember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #17-01-028 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC <br /> HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-00, SUNWOOD DRIVE <br /> RECONSTRUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 416-08-139, adopted August <br /> 8th, 2016, the City Engineer prepared a Feasibility Report for City Improvement Project 417-00 <br /> which proposes improvements to Sunwood Drive between Ramsey Boulevard/CSAH 56 and <br /> Bunker Lake Boulevard/CR 116 including reconstructing the bituminous pavement, replacing <br /> damaged concrete curb and gutter, and other appurtenant work as needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br /> cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City Charter, and the <br /> City's adopted Special Assessments Policy;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council received the Feasibility Report on January 24, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br /> project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; whether the proposed project should be made as <br /> proposed or in conjunction with another improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as <br /> recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for <br /> benefitted properties. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with <br /> the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for all or a portion of <br /> the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City <br /> Charter, and the City's adopted Special Assessments Policy, at an estimated total cost of <br /> $607,000. <br /> 2) A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 14'h day of February, 2017, <br /> in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and <br /> published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Johns and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br />
