I <br />I <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO WI{OM IT MAY CONCERN: <br /> <br /> Notice ~s hereby given that the City of Ramsey's Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission will conduct a pmbl~c hearing on August 2, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. ~n the <br /> Ramsey Mun~cipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota in <br /> regards to an amendment of Chapter 170.01 which is known as the Zoning Chapter <br />. · of the City Code of the City~'gf Ramsey. <br /> <br /> Th~r6pbsed amendment reTates to the adoption of an Environmental <br /> Section, which section will specifically address the Critical Area District and <br /> I the Wetlands Area all 'i~3~he of <br /> Ramsey. <br /> <br /> The Critical Area in the City of Ramsey is generally that corridor of <br /> · land lying between the Mississippi River and U. S. Highway #10. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> The Wetlands in the City of Ramsey are as shown and mapped by the <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), which mmp is the City's <br />official wetland map and which map is on file at the City's Municipal Center and <br />is available for inspection by the public between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and <br />5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. <br /> <br /> The proposed amendment is intended to preserve the Mississippi River <br />Corridor and the Wetlands in the City of Ramsey as unique local, state and <br />natural resources and to preserve and enhance their value to the public. <br /> <br /> In order to accomplish this purpose, the Code Amendment is intended to <br />regulate and minimize the risk of environmental damage to both the Mississippi <br />River Corridor and the Wetlands. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> The complete text of the proposed ordinance is on ¥ile for review and <br />inspection between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at <br />the Ramsay Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen 'Boulevard N.W., Ramsey~ Minnesota. <br /> <br /> Written comments are welcome and should be addressed to the Ramsey <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303.
