FROM: <br />RE: <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commissionmembers <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />City Administrator's Report <br /> <br />1) The following is a report on Planning and Zoning Commission items <br />that appeared on the August 23, 1983 City Council agenda: <br /> <br /> a) Discussion of City Code Chapter 110.14 Entitled "Weeds" - Council <br />approved of the change to the code as recommended by you. <br /> <br /> b) Rum River Hills Preliminary Planned Unit Development - Council <br />approved of the findings of fact and the PUD as you recommended. <br /> <br /> c) Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Beauty Shop; Ca~e of Mrs. <br />David Prahl - Council approved this as recommended by you. <br /> <br />2) Public Utility Assessment Ordinance - Council amended City Code Chapter <br />170.03 entitled "Subdivision" and they amended Chapter 210.01 entitled <br />"Public Improvements" at the August 23, 1983 meeting. We will furnish <br />you with copies when we have them available. <br /> <br />3) Airport Commission - Council appointed a nine member Airport Commission <br />to prepare a report as to whether or not the Gateway North Industrial <br />Airport should be a municipal airport. The Commission will consider <br />the present airport facilities only. <br /> <br />4) Amending Comprehensive Plan MUSA Line - This was on the Council agenda <br />for action but it was tabled until the September 13, 1983 special Council <br />meeting. If anyone has questions on this, Building Official Berg will <br />be able to address it. It might be a good idea to have your input to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />5) State Waste Management Board Meeting - Enclosure (Dl-a) contains <br />a letter from the State Waste Management Board informing Council that <br />this Board would begin their evaluation of the proposed hazardous waste <br />sites. <br /> <br />Council's action at their August 23, 1983 meeting was in opposition, <br />as they had stated in their previous Resolution #83-152 dated March 22, <br />1983. I did appear before the Board and stated Ramsey's position. <br /> <br />If Ramsey does get a hazardous waste processing area, the boundaries <br />of it will probably be as shown in Map #5 of enclosure (Dl-a). <br /> <br />6) Utilization of Minnesota Emergency Employment Development Act (MEED) <br />- This went before the Council on August 23, 1983 and was tabled until <br />the September 13, 1983 special Council meeting. It was tabled because <br />they needed more information on it. <br /> <br /> <br />
