PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, September 27, <br />1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />A1 so Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Council meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. <br />Ms. Josephine Nunn, Ramsey's Metro Council representative, led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec adjourned the regular meeting at 7:07 p.m. in order to conduct <br />the following public hearing: <br /> <br />1. Public hearing for Revenue Sharing Funds. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Council meeting back to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />GUEST SPEAKER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec introduced Ramsey's Metro Council representative, Ms. Josephine <br />Nunn. <br /> <br />Ms. Nunn stated that she requested being placed on the agenda in order to <br />find out if Ramsey has any particula~ questions or concerns. Ms. Nunn stated <br />that she has kept abreast of Ramsey current affairs by reading the newspaper <br />and she is aware of the recently appointed Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that he has been informed by many other mayors that this <br />type of citizen reaction is normal when there is talk of sewer and water and <br />assessment policies. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that over the last couple of years Ramsey has worked closely <br />with Jim Barton of Metro Council and Mr. Barton has done an outstanding <br />job. <br /> <br />C/September 27, 1983 <br />Page 3 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
