CHARTER COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey Charter Commission was held on Thursday, <br />September 8, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Heitman, Chairman <br />Mr. Dick Sieber <br />Mr. Stan Data <br />Ms. Brenda Bauerkemper <br />Mr. Curt Titterud <br />Mr. Tom Gamec <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Buchanan <br />Mr. Tom Greenberg <br />Mr. John Lichter <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman called the meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Commissioner Sieber moved to approve the Charter Commission minutes dated <br />August 25, 1983, with the following corrections: <br /> <br />1. Page 1 - Item A.2. - Change 'August' to 'July'. <br /> <br />Page 2 - Item D.1. - Paragraph 1 - Change to read as follows: <br />'Commissioner Lichter stated that he and Commissioner Bauerkemper attended <br />Council's meeting of July 26, 1983 and that is the meeting in which <br />Commissioner Bauerkemper suggested Council lower the Charter Commission <br />budget to $5000.00. <br /> <br />3. Page 5 - Item E - Add the following to the end of the first sentence: <br /> 'and to change the reference to 30 days to immediately'. <br /> <br />Page 4 - Item C - Change the first paragraph to read as follows: <br />'Chairman Heitman did some research and was informed by Attorney Dorn <br />that resolutions are not subject to initiative and referendum and <br />the Charter Commission appears to have made appropriate changes in the <br />charter draft to reflect this fact.' <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />A.
