RESOLUTION 80-3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO DONATE $4,000 TO ASSIST IN COVERING GRANT COST AND <br />DONATION OF LAND FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec ~nd seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt the <br />following: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Ramsey has moved <br />to donate $4,000 to Anoka County for purpose as stated below. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has moved <br />to donate land area for purposes as stated below. <br /> <br /> NOW TREREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Ramsey City Cou~.cil has directed that $4,000 <br />be made available to the Anoka County to assist in the cost of preparing <br />a grant request through Economic Development Administration for a multi <br />purpose recreation facility. It is recommended that the facility pro- <br />vide the following: <br /> <br />a) That the recreational facility be constructed <br />to utilize the latest energy innovations. <br /> <br />b) That the facility be constructed to accommodate <br />the following suggested activities or any other <br />activity which will maximize facility use to the <br />communities it serves. <br /> <br />t) Hockey Arena <br />2) <br />3) Swimming Pool <br />4) Racquet Ball Court <br />5) Hand Ball Court <br />6) Meeting rooms to accommodate all age groups. <br /> <br /> c) That the following outdoor recreation activities <br />be provided in this grant. <br /> <br />1) Tennis Courts <br />2) Developed picnic areas with ~lides, swings, <br /> horseshoe pits <br />3) Nature Trail Area <br />4) Canoe docking area <br /> <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL/JANUARY 15, 1980/~AGE 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
