Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt <br />the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 80-2a <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONFERENCE ON THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOP- <br />MENT ACT 1979 (S-914) REGARDING STANDBY LOCAL PUBLIC WORK PROGRAM IN <br />THE U.S. HOUSE REPRESENTATIV~SVERSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County <br />Minnesota hereby supports the U.S. House of Representatives version of <br />the Standby Local Public Work Program in the Conference on the National <br />Economic Development and Public Act 1979 (S-914). <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RANSEY, MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council is requesting our U.S. Senate delegation <br />to Washington D.C. support the House of Representatives version of the <br />Standby Local Public Work Program in the Conference on the National <br />Economic Development and Public Act 1979 (S-914). <br /> <br /> 2) It is further requested that our City of Ramsey be kept <br />informed on the progress of the above legislation. Further, should <br />our Senate delegation feel that they cannot support the.above legisla- <br />tion the City Council would like to be informed on this matter. <br /> <br />Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg.
