BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City of Ramsey's Board of <br />Adjustment met on January 8, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 for the purpose <br />of considering a request of Waltec Incorporated, 14310 Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota for a variance to the City's Code on <br />setbacks and building exterior design. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec Also Present: <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />City Adm. Schnelle <br />City Atty. Goodrich <br />City Engr. Raatikka <br /> <br />Chairman Mickelson called the meeting to order at 7:45 P.M. <br />The review and recommendation of the Planning & Zoning Commission was <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Cox to grant <br />a variance to the rear set-back requirement of the City Code for a 1'-2" <br />variance to the rear property line setback. <br /> <br />Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg. <br />Voting no: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion held regarding the exterior of the building. <br /> <br /> It was noted that this is a metal building that will be attached to the <br />· rear of an existing brick building and it will be located 800' or more <br /> from Sunfish Lake Boulevard. Also, the building addition would be <br /> visible from new Industry Road, County Road 116 and to future property <br /> owners that would have access to their property from Industry Road. At <br /> this time the exterior of the building is proposed to be metal panels with <br /> no exterior decor. This item will be further discussed with the owner of this <br /> company when his development contract is presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilman Reimann to clOse the <br />Board of Adjustment.
