The
Underground Space Center has recently
converted our ever-growing mailing list
(now at about 20,000) from our old,
rather cumbersome information system
to a new, streamlined one which will
eliminate duplications and correct ad-
dress changes. The new mailing list
system also will enable us to send out
more specialized, timely ann~)unce-
'merits about activities sponsored by
the Center. By the next issue of
Underline, we hope to have ironed out
most of th~ ma!ling problems that have
· plagued us over the ' past several
years--so please try: to bear with us
while we're converting to our new
system.

Vento Bill
continued from page 3

Vento's bill was approved by the
House Banking Committee in Novem-
ber and should come before the full
House for a vote early in 1980. [The
Senate has already approved a bill con-
taining many of the provisions of
Vento's bill.] If it is approved there,
'the bill will be sent to a Senate-House
joint committee, which will write the
final version of the bill and send it
through both houses of Congress.

Underline

Published by the Under-
ground Space Center, Uni-
versity of Minnesota.
