TO: l~ayor and City Council

FROM: City Administrator

RE: Council Old Business

Enclosure (D-2a)

Copy of police report regarding Tungsten Street
Finding of Fact regarding Volmer's Greenhouse
Site and Design Plan development agreement with
Minnesota Utilities Contracting, Inc.

CASE #1:

TRAFFIC PROBLEMON TUNGSTEN STREET:

Problem:' It appears the commercial and residential traffic
that has to use Tungsten is getting a bit out of hand. En-
closure (D2-a) is a police report that is £urnishe4 as back-
ground i~formation for'you. ~z~ t~/Ou~ ~/~t -~ ~--

The following are some of the problems that seem to exist:

a) The residences on Rivlyn Street have only one way out and
that is on Tungsten which they have to share with the commercial
businesses truck traffic.

b) The inconvenience of truck traffic on Tungsten is one the'
citizens on Rivlyn don't think they really have to put up with
at least some don't think they do.

c) The poor de,fining of street and private property is another
problem on Tungsten Street in the commercial area.

d) There is another problem trucks pulling up Go use Rivlyn
to turn around. However, we pretty much eliminated that problem
and when the ground permits we will have it properly signed
which should solve the problem.

Solutions: There are some partial solution to the problems that
exists. The following recommendations are hereby submitted for
your review:

a) Create a second egress and ingress from Highway #10 to
Rivlyn Street which will stir up some more problems. We did
talk about this a year ago and then it was dropped.
