PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Ramsey's Planning <br />& Zoning Commission held a public hearing at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 on March 3, 1980. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the Public Hearing to order at 7:45 P.M. with <br />the following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson, Chairman <br />Ben Deemer <br />Harry Ellis <br /> <br />Kathy Schneider (arrived at 7:48 P.M.) <br />Lloyd Schnelle <br />Arlene Stafford <br /> <br />C~airman Ken Peterson explained that this is A public hearing to discuss <br />and receive input regarding a request from Mr. Tomas Johnstone for approval <br />of a conditional use permit for a dog kennel. The address of the property <br />is 15790 Traprock St N.W. Lot 1, Block 2, Traprock Commons. <br /> <br />Mr. Del Skeim was present as a homeowner at 15800 Traprock St. He stated <br />that due to the size of the lots, he' felt there would be no conflict with <br />the proposed dog kennel and pointed out the closeness of the park. He is <br />for the dog kennel. <br /> <br />Mr. ,~hnstone stated he would be breeding Irish Setters and English Cocker <br />Spaniels. These are show dogs and will be advertized'for sale in magazines <br />and not by a sign. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the number of dogs at times, with a litter of pups. <br />Mr. Beaubien said he would not object .to having four adult dogs, but would <br />if there would be a larger number. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson adjourned the public hearing at 7:53 P.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Arlene Stafford <br />Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Conditional Use - Dog Kennel <br /> <br /> <br />
