ARLENE PEDDYCOART RESIGNATION <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to accept <br />Arlene Peddycoart's resignation. Councilman Reimann suggested that a <br />letter of recognition be sent to Arlene. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimarm, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to pay Arlene <br />Peddycoart her 7½ hours in accumulated comp time in cash. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting no None. <br /> <br />STATE AID <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated it is important to get the State Legislature's <br />attention regarding the inequities of the State Aid system. There was <br />a general discussion on this subject and no formal action was taken. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT REGARDING THOROUG~ARE SETBACKS <br /> <br />general discussion on this subject was held. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Cox to schedule <br />a public hearing for 7:30 on March 25, 1980 regarding a proposal to require <br />setbacks on all City thoroughfare streets to be equal to'thoroughfare <br />streets in the Urban Areas. The hearing is to also include a proposed <br />amendment regarding sidelot setbacks. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />AUTOMOBILE PURCHASE -QUOTES <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the Attorney General has ruled local governments can <br />pay only 19.5~ per mile to'City staff for use of their own vehicles. <br />Therefore, the Mayor feels a need to obtain a staff car. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by CounciLman Sortebe~g to <br />obtain quotes for a compact vehicle, with at least one quote from Hennepin <br />County Purchasing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Council_men Cox, Reimann, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />EARTH S~LTER STRUCTURE SEMINAR <br /> <br />A free seminar on this subject is to be held at Anoka-Ram~ey.
