Councilmember XXXXXX introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION #17-03-050 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RAMSEY TO SELL THREE ACRES <br /> OF REAL PROPERTY. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, herein referred to as the "City," owns various parcels <br /> throughout the City of Ramsey; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City received and entered into a formal purchase agreement for the sale <br /> of the parcel legally described below ("the Property"), on May 10, 2016,with Lifestyle Properties <br /> Inc., a Minnesota Corporation: <br /> OUTLOT A, RAMSEY TOWN CENTER 81h ADDITION, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF <br /> MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, the Property has PID 28-32-25-21-0030 and will be platted into new <br /> parcels: <br /> LOTS 1-12, VISTAS AT NORTH COMMONS, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF <br /> MINNESOTA. <br /> WHEREAS, the Property was declared by the City of Ramsey as surplus City owned <br /> land and is no longer needed for current for future City functions, and is authorized for sale; and <br /> WHEREAS, the formal purchase agreement requires a Right-of-Re-Entry Agreement be <br /> recorded at the closing of this land transaction; and <br /> WHEREAS, the formal purchase agreement was reassigned from Lifestyle Properties, <br /> Inc. to Morning Sun Homes, Inc. on March 14, 2017. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br /> COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby declares the Property to be surplus City-owned land, and <br /> authorizes the property to be sold. <br /> 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves the sale of the Property to Morning Sun Homes, <br /> Inc. for a total of$170,000.00 for the development of 12 residential lots. <br /> 3) That the City of Ramsey authorizes and requires a Right-of-Re-Entry Agreement to be <br /> recorded at the closing of this land transaction. <br />
