Regular Planning Commission 4. 1.
Meeting Date: 09/08/2011
By: Chris Anderson, Community
Development
Title:
Discuss EPB's 2011-2012 Work Plan and its Relation to the City's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances
Background:
The Environmental Policy Board's 2011-2012 City Council approved work plan includes researching and reviewing
green building principles and low impact development practices that could be encouraged or incentivized within
The COR. It is likely that at least some of these concepts/practices may be incorporated into the zoning standards
of City Code, subject to a public hearing with the Planning Commission. Thus, Staff thought it would be beneficial
to bring both boards together to discuss and brainstorm various green principles, low impact development
practices, and strategies and ways to entice developers to consider implementing these concepts as opposed to
making them a requirement.
Notification:
Observations:
Funding Source:
Staff Recommendation:
While no specific action is needed, Staff is hoping that some common themes arise from this discussion that can be
further researched and brought back to the EPB and Planning Commission for future consideration and action.
Committee Action:
No action is necessary.
Attachments
2011-2012 City Council Approved EPB Work Plan
Form Review
Inbox Reviewed By Date
Tim Gladhill Tim Gladhill 09/01/2011 11:20 AM
Form Started By:Chris Anderson Started On:09/01/201109:41 AM
Final Approval Date:09/01/2011
