REPORT ON THE FEASIBILITY STUDY
FOR BITUMINOUS STREET PAVING AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
IN BEAUDR¥'S SECOND ADDITION, PELTZER ADDITION
AND ADJACENT UNPLATTED AREAS IN THE SW¼ OF SECTION 22

Scope:

The purpose of this report is to discuss the feasibility of providing bituminous
streets to serve the above referenced area. The petition for this street improve-

ment project did not include the streets in Beaudry's Addition with the exception
of Jasper St. N.W. Based on the City staff's recommendation,, the entire plat of

Beaudry's Second Addition was included in the project as an alternate. This
report also provides a cursory revi6w of the existing drainage system within
the project area.

The projectlarea lies within the ~P~ of Section 22, Township 32 North, Range 25

West, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota.

The project'is generally bounded by 149th Ave. N.W. on the south, ~amsey Blvd.
on the west, 153rd Ave. N.W. on the north and Garnet St. N.W. on the west as
shown on Exhibit A.

Existing Conditions:

The present street network consists of a rural street section with a gravel or
sand surface approximately 22 to 28 feet in width.

The present drainage system utilizes driveway culverts, drainage channels and
ponding areas. The present system, although reviewed in a preliminary manner,
appears operational with the exception of an ultimate need for a positive outlet
from the ponding areas. Also at the time of our inspection of the streets,

-1-
