construction since the street width proposed generally follows the present street <br />section width. <br /> <br />The street section proposed as shown on Exhibit B consists of a 3 inch gravel <br />base,with a 1½" bituminous surface. This section is equivalent to a 5-ton design <br />in accordance to the Department of Transportation specifications. This section <br />has been previously used in the city and other communities With no detrimental <br />effects. It is estimated that this 'street section has a life expectancy of 15 <br />years with minimal maintenance. <br /> <br />The proposed construction would not include any driyeway construction with the <br />exception of a one foot apron, which would be provided on all driveWays to pro- <br />tect the edge of the plavement. It would be the homeowner's responsibility t6 <br />extend existing bituminous or concrete'driveways to match the street. <br /> <br />Storm Dr6ina99 ~Improvement: , <br /> <br />To alleviate the flooding problem on Limonite St. N.W., it is proposed tocon- <br />struct a storm sewer to'Kamacite Street N.W. as shown on Exhibit A~ Since this <br />is ~ localized drainage problem, only the benefited properties would be assessed. <br /> <br />In addition to the storm sewer proposed, several cross streets culverts and minor <br />ditch grading and cleaning of existing cross-streets culverts are proposed at <br />this time. This work .is proposed to be included in the costs for upgrading the <br />streets. <br /> <br />Some existing driveways presently do not have driveway culverts. While not all <br /> <br />driveways would need a driveway culvert, those lots which presently may cause <br /> <br /> <br />
