Mayor Strommen stated that while she understands the thinking of attempting to avoid those types <br /> of intersections, huge bottlenecks are created by limiting the number of access points into a <br /> neighborhood. She believed that there are tradeoffs that could be considered. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill stated that if there is an additional access point onto <br /> Alpine, perhaps that would strengthen the desire to realign Puma Street to better align with other <br /> streets. <br /> Mayor Strommen stated that while the City often discourages pocket parks, kids need places to <br /> play close to their home. She stated that people are in Ramsey to experience the environment and <br /> therefore there is room for discussion on that item. <br /> Councilmember Shryock asked for the timeline on the future development of Itasca Park. <br /> Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood stated that the discussions will <br /> include the timing and how that can coordinate with the plat. He noted that low maintenance items <br /> will also be reviewed to determine what could be shared. <br />
