Planning Commissioners in attendance: <br /> Planning Commissioner Bruce Anderson <br /> Planning Commissioner Randy Bauer <br /> Planning Commissioner Randy Brauer <br /> Planning Commissioner Cindy Nosan <br /> Planning Commissioner Patrick Surma <br /> Planning Commissioner Gary VanScoy <br /> Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee Members in attendance: <br /> Member Mickie Adams <br /> Member Bill Kingston <br /> Member Christopher Oullette <br /> Staff in attendance: <br /> Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br /> City Planner Christopher Anderson <br /> Consulting City Planner Breanne Rothstein <br /> The Planning Commission met in a training session regarding land use planning and zoning <br /> administration.The training session was called to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill led introduction of members in attendance. <br /> Consulting Planner Rothstein provided a presentation on Planning and Zoning 101. <br /> Commissioner Brauer noted that the Planning Commission previously reviewed one section of City Code <br /> per month several years ago, but has not done this in some time. <br /> Commissioner Brauer asked about the City's policy for Planning Commission not reviewing Final Plats <br /> after Preliminary Plat after approval with conditions. <br /> Consulting Planner Rothstein noted the ultimate decision lies with the City Council.The Planning <br /> Commission is an advisory board. <br /> Discussion ensued about the merits of review of Final Plats by the Planning Commission. <br /> Director Gladhill suggested that this topic be brought forward for further discussion at a future meeting. <br /> Member Kingston inquired as to whether Conditional Use Permits ever expire. <br /> Consulting Planner Rothstein noted they do not expire and run with the land. She then explained the <br /> process for Interim Use Permits that are allowed an expiration date and run with the <br /> Application/Property Owner, not the property. <br />
