09/22/16 REVISOR CKM/IL AR4240 <br />18.1 (1) a township's plan and ordinances must be consistent with and at least <br />18.2 as restrictive as the plan and ordinances adopted by the county in which the township is <br />18.3 located, as provided under Minnesota Statutes, section 394.33; <br />18.4 (2) a township must provide for administration and enforcement of <br />18.5 Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area ordinances; and <br />18.6 (3) a township may adopt a county's ordinances by reference. <br />18.7 Subp. 9. Duties of state or regional agencies and other government entities. Any <br />18.8 state or regional agency, local park agency, or special purpose unit of government that <br />18.9 owns or manages lands within the river corridor boundary must manage the lands under its <br />18.10 authority in a manner consistent with this chapter. <br />1s.11 6106.0070 PREPARATION, REVIEW, AND APPROVAL OF PLANS AND <br />18.12 ORDINANCES. <br />18.13 Subpart 1. Purpose. The purpose of this part is to establish the process, <br />18.14 responsibilities, time frames, content requirements, and evaluation criteria for preparation, <br />18.15 review, and approval of plans and ordinances, in order to ensure an efficient process <br />18.16 aligned with other regional and local planning processes. <br />18.17 Subp. 2. Adoption of plans and ordinances. <br />18.18 A. The commissioner, in consultation with the Metropolitan Council, shall <br />18.19 notify local governments of the schedule for preparing or amending plans and ordinances <br />18.20 consistent with this chapter. The schedule must align as closely as possible with the <br />18.21 comprehensive plan update schedule under Minnesota Statutes, section 473.864. <br />18.22 B. All plans and ordinances adopted by local governments pursuant to <br />18.23 Executive Order 79-19 that are in existence on the effective date of this chapter remain <br />18.24 in effect and must be enforced until plans and ordinances are amended consistent with <br />6106.0070 18 <br />
