The next <br />day, Miami Beach passed a four -month ban on the opening of marijuana <br />dispensaries. The new law "requires <br />the forthcoming Cannabis Control Commission to begin accepting <br />retail license applications from established medical marijuana dispen- <br />saries by Oct. 1, 2017 and from others hoping to sell marijuana and as- <br />sociated products by Oct. 1, 2018."
