TO: Ramsey City Council <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Special Council Business <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-a) City Engineer's letter dated April 22, 1980 <br />(D2-b) Copy of Contract between City of Ramsey and Waste <br /> Management <br /> (D2-c) Copy of agreement between City of Ramsey and City of <br /> Anoka <br /> (D2-d) .Excerpt of Council minutes dated April 22, 1980 <br /> (D2-e) Metro Council Staff report <br /> <br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />PRE PLANNING MEETING FOR MEETING WITH WASTE MANAGEMENT REGARD- <br /> <br />ING RAMSEY LANDFILL: <br /> <br />Background Information: In accordance with Council action <br />taken on April 22, 1980, a meeting has been set up with <br />Mr. Otter of Waste Management in regards to the Ramsey Land- <br />fill. The meeting has been set for 9:00 A.M., May 7, 1980 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal .Center. <br /> <br />Accordingly the following documents are hereby submitted for <br />Council to review and act on: <br /> <br />a) Enclosure (D2-a) City Engineer's letter dated April 22, <br />1980. This letter was received by Council at your last meeting <br />[ril 22, 1980, and it points several things of importance. '~_~]~ <br /> 1) Items 2, 3, 4, and 5 ~f the City Engineer's letter <br /> point out things that are not being accomplished and some <br /> are of a very serious nature. <br /> <br />2) Items 1 through 7 of the Engineers letter (several <br />items are being reiterated) are items that should be nailed <br />down in our new contract and if there is the slightest <br />violation they (Waste Management) shotnld be required to <br />pay a penalty. Item #1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 are explicit items <br />for the new contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
