TO: City Administrator

FROM: Public Works Superintendent

DATE: May 7, 1980

RE: Countryside Estates Streets

On May 6~ 1980, Pete Raatikka and myself made an inspection of the roads
in Countryside Estates to get an estimation of the costs to rebuild the
streets to city standards.

Most of the labor cost is general ditch cleaning and culvert cleaning.
Some driveways do not have culverts and they will have to be installed.
Several driveway culverts will have to be lowered' to get' proper drainage.

We should also purchase Outlot "B" for a water holding area. It would take
care of the drainage on 176th Ave and 175th Lane from County Road #83 to
just west of Vicuna Street~ One road culvert would be needed on 176th Av
and a holding pond would have to be dug on the' South half of Outlot "B".

Costs involved are as follows:

Grader - 100 hours @
Loader - 100 hours @
CL V-3600 yds. @
Culvert 80' @
Labor - 60 hours @
Administrative cost
Engineering Fees

$42.00 : $ 4200.00
$40.00 = 4000.00
$ 3.SO : 12600.00
$ 8.00 = 640.00
$ 8.41 = 504.60

$21,944.60

I recommend the total cost be assessed to the abutting property owners.
Merle Mevissen
