Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, Reimann and Cox. Voting no None, CITY HALL BASEMENT COMPLETION Mayor Gamec said the next step would be to draw plans and get bids to see if we should proceed. Mayor Gamec said a larger meeting facility is needed for groups to meet for banquets, etc. To do the complete basement would cost apProximately $45~000~ Councilman Cox asked what the priority of items completed should be. Mayor Gamec said he thought plans should be drawn and then decide what should be done. Mayor Gamec said some money is available. Councilman Mickelson said we can't keep spending money where there is none budgeted. Councilman Cox said with the general economic problems at this time maybe we shouldn't spend any money now. Councilman Cox said a schematic drawing could now be prepared and have it all ready to go when we do have enough money. Councilman Cox said he feels the one bathroom should be completed along with the kitchen/meeting area. Mayor Gamec said bids could be let for one room or area at a time, Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to have an architect draw plans or layout and not specifications at a cost not to exceed $3,700. Motion and second withdrawn. It was suggested that Building Official Berg find the cost of just having the layout drawn by the architect. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to direct staff.to contact an architect for cost breakdown on plans and specifi~ cations. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. PONDVALE ESTATES Motion by Councilman Cos and seconded by Councilman Reinmnn to grant an extension for filing of the final plat until June 30, 1980 and that this will be the final extension granted.
