RESOLUTION 80- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING CERTAIN ITEMS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY WASTE <br />MANAGEMENT, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, State of liinnesota <br />is requesting that Waste Management Corporation accomplish the following <br />matter for the health, safety and financial concerns of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH~ CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That Waste U~nagement, Inc. do accomplish water tests of <br /> <br />/..ten (10) homes that are in the direct peripheral of the landfill and <br />adjacent to well #5. Further that the City be allowed to select the <br />~-~firm who will conduct tests. <br /> <br /> 2) Prepare several test wells to check out why well #5 has <br />such high nitrates. <br /> <br /> 3) That Waste Management, Inc. pay the City of Ramsey 25~ <br />per cubic yard for waste deposited at Ramsey Landfill. <br /> <br /> 4) That Waste Management, Inc. maintain a berm between the <br />landfill and residential property s° as to keep water run-off from the <br />residential properties. <br /> <br /> 5) That Waste Management, Inc. provide and maintain a <br />tobogganing/sliding area during winter months and access to it. <br /> <br /> 6) That an escrow fund be set up to cover the cost of pro- <br />viding a water system should the well water in the residential area in <br />the landfill vicinity become polluted. <br /> <br /> <br />
