LETTERS AND COI~UNICATIONS <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle noted the letter from Mr. Edward G. ~Jeep regarding~.. <br />EDA/LPW Project in the addendum which states that an extension of 30 days would. <br />be granted to review the repayment of $8,683 unallowable costs rather than <br />the 60 days the city requested. He said that this item would be taken up <br />at the next regular council meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle asked the council to review the letters and if <br />there was anything they wanted on the agenda to be sure and give him a <br />call. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />STREET ~WPRO~NT, 158th AND 159th LANE AND KAMACITE sTREET N.W. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said that at the public hearing %onight 14 residents voted <br />and 8 favored and 6 opposed the street improvement project. He then <br />asked for questions or discussion from the Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked if this was the only street left to be done in <br />the area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka answered that 164th Lane was left to be done. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked if this is one of the lesser per unit. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka answered yes and that the lots are narrow and that is <br />why they are less. · ./. ~~~ <br />Mayor G~nec commented regarding th~bond issue and he said some bonds <br />that have been sold currently in ~went at around 8.5%, so <br />that the city may be looking at 9% rather than 10%. Also, he said <br />blacktopping went up 20% from last year. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann to adopt Resolution 80-29B ordering <br />improvement and preparation of plans, Street Improvement Project <br />(158th Lane N.W., 159th Lane N.W. & Kamacite Street N.W.) and <br />seconded by Councilman Sorteberg. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting.yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Cox. Voting no-None. Please refer to Resolution File for Resolution <br />#80-29B. <br /> <br />REPORT ON CONDITON OF CITY STREETS IN COUNTRYSIDE ESTATES <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said that the Council should look at designating Cotmtryside <br />Estates a Class 5. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said that the Council did not indicate Countryside Estates <br />as a Class 5.
