TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Council Business <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-a) Copy of resolution regarding unfairness on market <br /> valuations <br /> (D2-b) Records of house built at 7530 - 151st Avenue <br /> (D2-c) Map showing area for improvement <br /> <br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />CASE #2: <br /> <br />CASE #3: <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION REGARDING REAL ESTATE MARKET VALUATION: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-a) contains a resolution regarding the unfair- <br />ness of the way market valuations are established on real <br />estate valuations. <br /> <br />RF~kL ESTATE PROPERTY: <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Johnson and Dick Lang, real estate agent for Mr. <br />Johnson, will be present tonight to discuss a problem with <br />a residential dwelling that was constructed on a lot that <br />is not considered a parcel of record. This property is <br />located at 7530 - 151st Avenue N.W. and the house was built <br />in 1974. Enclosure (D2-b) is the only records the City has <br />on it. The individual would like to sell his home and the <br />attorneys are now questioning would Council issue a build- <br />ing permit if this house was to burn down. <br /> <br />PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-c) contains a map showing the area rquesting <br />improvement. <br /> <br />In figuring the percentage the City Staff came up with 65% <br />in favor of the improvement and 35'% against. They went to <br />each home in the entire area for a total of 45 units and that <br />is what we came up with here. <br /> <br />Council Action: Will be to approve or disapprove the petition. <br />If Council approves the petition you will have to adopt a <br />resolution declaring adequacy of petition and ordering a <br />feasibility study and set a date for public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
