Councilman Retmann moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION 80-20 JOINT RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY (CST) WHICH WILL ENCOMPASS TKE CITIES OF CHAMPLIN, ANOKAANDRAMSEY. W~LEREAS, a Cable Communications Company has submitted an application to the Minnesota Cable Communications Board (MCCB) for establishment of a CST which will encompass the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka and Champlin; and WHEREAS, the City Councils of Rs3nsey, Anoka and Champlin discussed the proposed CST at a joint meeting on February 22, 1980; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Oouncil has received for review the CST Proposal (No. 7936-1) and it is appropriate to respond to the proposal by the City Councils jointly; and WHEREAS, the three City Councils are of the opinion that Ramsey, Champlin and Anoka should work together on cable communications. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA as follows: -- That the Ramsey City Council, the Anoka City Commission and the Champlin City Council find that the proposed CST under review by the Metropolitan Council (No. 7936-1) as submitted by Harmon and Company, Inc., is acceptable to the cities of Ramsey, Champlin and Anoka. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY'.COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY that the communities are committed to working together on cable communications and are of the opinion that a joint Citizen's Advisory Committee is an acceptable way to meet the MCCB requirements of citizen participation. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, NLickelson and 'Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of April, 1980.
