However, in discussing the project with <br />the MN/DOT District 5 State Aid Engineer, he indicated that the Capital <br />Improvement Program was flexible and the City could proceed with the project <br />this year. <br /> <br />We have estimated the cost of the project to be $69,000 including the engineering. <br />Methods for financing the project include MSAS funds, assessment'to the benefitting <br />properties or a combination of MSAS funds and assessments. If the City decides to <br />assess all or any portion of the project, a public hearing would be required. It <br />should be noted, however, that if MSAS funds are used for the project all of the <br />engineering costs for the project may not be eligible.. <br /> <br />Due to the favorable prices this construction season, we would recommend that the <br />City proceed with the project. <br /> <br />We will be present at your June 10, 1980, council meeting to answer any questions <br />you have on the project. <br /> <br />Yours truly, <br /> <br />CONSULTING ENGINEERS DIVERSIFIED, INC. <br />Peter R.
