RESOLUTION NO. 80- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MIN~Vf0M BOND REQUIREMENTS WHERE CONSTRUCTION, <br />NOT CONTRACTED BY T~[E CITY OE RAMSEY, IS PERFORMED WITHIN THE RIGHT-OF- <br />WAY ON ANY CITY STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a local unit of government <br />located in Anoka County, Minnesota, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council is sworn to uphold the law <br />and act in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of its <br />residents, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during construction, damages occur to street sur- <br />facing as well as bonlevards, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has no guarantee that said dam- <br />ages will be repaired, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, if said damages are not repaired by the contractor <br />involved, repair of said damages become a burden on the residents of <br />the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL~ CITY OF PuiMS~, <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby establishes <br />the following bonding requirements: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The minimmm cash deposit, certified check, cashiers <br />check or bond for any construction shall be in the <br />amount of $1,000, payable to the City of Ramsey and <br />said cash deposit, certified check, casb_iers check <br />or bond shall remain in force and guarantee any work <br />for a period of one year. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />~ere street crossings are a part of the construction, <br />the cash deposit, certified check, cashiers check or <br />bond shall be increased in the amount of $500 per <br />street crossing. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />No work shall commence until such time as the cash <br />deposit, certified check, cashiers check or bond <br />is received by the City and a permit is issued. <br /> <br />d) The permit fee for said construction is hereby es- <br /> tablished at $15.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
