Case # 3 '

DISCUSS CENTRAL PARKS ENTRANCE DESIGN
By: Mark Boos, Parks &Utilities Supervisor

Background:

As the Commission will recall, during City Council approval of the 2000 Park's Capital
Improvement Program, Council requested that the southwest comer of Central Park
receive development worthy of its entrance to the park and its value in advertising
Ramsey to out-of-town Game Fair visitors.

The intent would be for this landscape and signage to be substantially complete by the
2001 Community Picnic. Staff has hired the firm of Landform Strategies to assist the
Commission in concept planning. Mr. Stephen Mastey of Landform Strategies will be at
the meeting to work with the Commission on a concept plan.

The purpose of this case is to announce that the Commission will be continuing the
discussion in a workshop format following the meeting.

Commission Action:
None required.

Reviewed by:
Parks & Utilities Supervisor

Copies to:
Public Works Director

P & R: 11/09/00
