PW CASE <br /> <br /> CONSIDER ENTERING INTO TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL <br />AGREEMENT NO. 79972M WITH MNDOT FOR THE T.H. #47 STP PROJECT <br />(IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-14) <br /> By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Attached is a proposed (revised) agreement with MnDOT which outlines the maintenance <br />responsibilities of the City in conjunction with the new signals on T.H. #47, to be installed at <br />C.S.A.H. #5/Xkimo Street (System B), 149th Avenue/Sunwood Drive (System C), and 153''d <br />Avenue (System D). The agreement outlines the responsibilities as follows: <br /> <br />City Responsibilities: <br /> <br />· Design and construct, and inspect signal installation of all three systems <br />· Secure power/pay monthly electrical cost for all three systems <br />· Clean and paint luminaire mast arm for all three systems <br /> Replace streetlight, backlight street signs for all three systems <br />· Relamp signals for systems C and D <br />· Clean and paint cabinets for systems C and D <br /> <br />County Responsibilities: <br /> <br />· Clean and paint cabinets for system B <br />· Relamp signal heads for system B <br /> <br />State Responsibilities: <br /> <br />· Maintain interconnect and perform all other traffic control and streetlight maintenance <br />· Maintain all EVP (Emergency Vehicle Preemption) Systems <br /> <br />At the March 15, 2000 Public Works Committee meeting, a draft signal agreement for the <br />maintenance and operation was presented which related to the three signals.
