Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #17-01-032 <br /> RESOLUTION TO HIRE A POLICE TECHNICIAN <br /> WHEREAS, there is currently a fulltime Police Technician vacancy due to the former <br /> employee in this position assuming the part-time Police Technician position; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff conducted an internal and external recruitment; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Hedburg has successfully passed the pre-employment screenings; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Hedburg, as a new employee, will be subject to a 6-month probation <br /> period; and <br /> WHEREAS, all other Personnel Policies and union contracts will apply normally. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to adopt resolution 417-01-032, hiring Ms. Jamie Hedburg as a fulltime <br /> Police Technician, effective on or near January 25, 2017 at $19.39 per hour <br /> which is step 1 of the 2017 wage scale <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Councilmember Williams <br />
