Dear Council Members: As decided at your June 10, 1980, council meeting we have deleted that portion of Yakima St. N.W. lying south of 179th Ave. N.W. from the project as shown on revised Exhibit A. Reasons for deleting this street 'from the project are as follows: 1. The street has never been constructed to city standards nor has it been accepted or maintained by the city. The street is located in a swamp area and is not likely to ever be extended to the south. The only benefit of extending the street to serve as a driveway for the two existing homes. o In reviewing the city and county records there does .not appear to be any recorded easements for that portion of the street which would indicate that the street has been erroneously shown on the half section map of the county and the city maps. By deleting the extension of Yakima Street N.W. from the project the estimated cost has been reduced by $6,250 as shown on the attached cost estimate. Since the roadway south of 179th Ave. N.W. is a common driveway for the two abutting properties, we would recommend that those two properties be assessed at the same rate as the other residents in the project area as shown on the attached cost summary. keith caswell jr. ~ darrell schneider ¢ richard sha
