TO: City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Building Official <br /> <br />RE: Monthly Report <br /> <br />DATE: June 17, 1980 <br /> <br />Building continued to be slow with only three new housing starts again <br />this month. Even with the decrease in interest rates, people seem re- <br />luctant to make any major.purchases. <br /> <br />Mr. Soderholm acquired his permit for his office warehouse at 143rd and <br />Ramsey Blvd. and anticipates beginning construction in about a week. <br />By providing the necessary openings, he was able to construct the build- <br />ing without a variance for a sprinkler system. <br /> <br />Several letters have been sent to various individuals in respect to <br />building or development contracts. You have copies of these letters. <br /> <br />The new City car arrived on Friday, J~ne 13. With only thirty miles on <br />it, it seems to fumction quite well. I will be maintaining a record of <br />the fuel consumption and mileage so I can report the vehicles efficiency. <br /> <br />Please note this report is being prepared early as I will be taking some <br />of my vacation the latter part of this week and the beginning of next <br />week. <br /> <br />One other item that should be noted is that Mr. Holker called shortly <br />after my notice to him that his permits had expired.
