The purpose of. the sessions is to explain <br />and discuss the agricultural runoff program the Council has underway as part <br />of its water quality management planning. The meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. <br />Locations are as follows: <br /> <br />Tuesday, July 15 <br /> <br />Location <br /> <br />Thursday, July 17 <br /> <br />Tuesday, July 22 <br /> <br />Wednesday, July 23 <br /> <br /> Anoka County Courthouse, Commissioners <br /> Open Area (West Wing, 2nd floor) <br /> 325 E. Main St., Anoka <br /> <br /> Washington Co. Courthouse, Commissioners <br /> Board Room <br /> 14900 N. 61st St. Stillwater <br /> <br /> Dakota County Agricultural Extension Bldg. <br /> 4100 220th St. W. <br /> Farmington (County Fairgrounds) <br /> <br />.First National Bank of Chaska <br /> Community Room, 301 Chestnut St., Chaska <br /> <br />The sessions are being held as part of a Council commitment to keep local officials <br />informed about "208" water quality planning. Each session will last approximately <br />one and one-half hours. Under the program, the.Council will assess the extent of <br />water pollution from agricultural runoff. The runoff contains fertilizer and <br />some pollutants. If serious problems exist, a management programwill be <br />recommended to alleviate the situation. <br /> <br />I hope you can attend one of these sessions.
