REPORT ON THE FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR
RIVERWOOD HILLS PLAT 1
BITUMINOUS STREET PAVING

Scope:

The purpose of this report is to discuss the feasibility of providing bituminous
surfacing for the streets in Riverwood Hills Plat 1. This report also provides
a cursory review of the existing drainage system within the project area.

The project area lies within the ~ of the N~, the N½ of the S~ and the NW¼
of the SEN, Section 1, Township 32 North, Range 25 West, City of Ramsey, Anoka'
County, Minnesota.

The project lies approximately one half mile East of S.T.H. #47 and is generally
bounded by 17gth Lane N.W. (C.S.A.H. #7) on the North, and the Rum River on the
South as shown on Exhibit A.

Existing Conditions:

The present street network consists of a rural street section with a gravel or
sand surface approximately 22 to 28 feet in width. An inspection of the area
revealed that the existing drainage facilities are generally adequate in the
Southeasterly portion of the plat. However, the Northwesterly portion of the
plat is relatively flat with a need for a culvert at the intersection of

177th Lane and Erkium Street. Ditches in the area are generally in good condi-
tion and carry the runoff to the low areas in the Southeasterly portion of the
