Reason for this action is that the County Board of <br />Review felt if they allowed Ramsey to reduce theirs it would <br />create problems throughout the County. <br /> <br />I have enclosed as enclosure (D2-f) the County Board of <br />Equalization minutes on this case for your information. It <br />should be noted that the minutes are only a rough draft as <br />the County won't approve them until their next meeting. <br /> <br />CASE #9 1980 FEDERAL CENSUS FOR CITY OF RAMSEY: <br /> <br /> Enclosure (D2-f) contains the following documents for your <br /> ~review: <br /> ~ a) United States Census Bureau undated letter - This <br /> ~ letter forwarded certain pertinent census data infor- mation to us. The City of Ramsey had ten (1O) working <br /> ~\~ days to challenge it which expires July.22, 1980. We <br /> did do an extensive research on the census data infor- <br /> ~ mation provided in this letter and it was decided that <br /> we use the numbers submitted by the Bureau of Census. <br /> The only area we could challenge would be residential <br /> <br /> is only p ' 'n ry 'g 99 ' a ' led <br /> units within the 2,780 units where they have not counted <br /> the occupants due to the .fact they didn't fill out the <br />~%~ census form. Consequently, these unclassified ones are <br />~~ being done by the Census Bureau and we should have the <br />~r ~~k rough final people county in August, 1980. <br /> b) Letter dated July 9, 1980, from Anoka County to City <br /> of Pmmsey regarding census information. This is provided <br /> for your information only. <br /> <br />c)- Letter dated July 10, 1980, from Metro Council to City <br />of Ramsey. We are taking action on this as the Metro <br />Council has made an error in their computations. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />There is no Council action required but it should be noted in <br />the minutes that you did review the Federal census preliminary <br />census. <br /> <br /> <br />
