These estimates <br />will be forwarded to the Minnesota Department of Revenue on JulyS17. The <br />Department of Revenue will use the estimates as a basis for determining <br />levy limitations for counties, municipalities and townships in the Region, <br />as well as for fiscal disparity and local government aid computations. <br /> <br />The Council's preliminary estimate'for your community as of April I, 1980, <br />is attached, together with a worksheet showing how the estimate was <br />developed. We ask you to contact the Council if the estimates are not <br />consistent with information you may have. The Council will make adjust- <br />ments in the est~m~tes through July 28 where justified, and will so notify <br />the Department of Revenue of any changes. <br /> <br />Some early 1980 census counts should be available this month. Your commun- <br />ity may have already received them.
