COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS

CASE #7:

PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING WASTE WATER MANAGEmeNT AND FACILITY

Enclosure (D3-e) contains Metro Council public hearing notice
regarding Waste Water Management and Facilities Plan. This
hearing is going to be held Thursday, August 14, 1980, at
2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M., at
Southdale Hermepin Area Library, Edina, Minnesota.

Council Action: You can either attend the above public
hearing or address your thoughts in writing. You have
until 10:00 A.M., August 25, 1980 to do this in writing.

CASE #8: MR. BUD AUGST REGARDING NCPS NATURAL GAS LINE: n~s ~
~ oAMr. Augst who resides in Traprock Commons state the citize
~ ~ 'who reside in this plat want to bring in natural gas and the
cost will be approximately $7,160. The cost for the natural
gas line by the City park is $477.00 and he wants to know if
the City will pick up this cost.

CASE #9:

CASE #10:

Council Action: It is a policy decision - the first in this
area. Their argument may be inasmuch as the.park serves more~
than just the neighborhood inasmuch as it is your park for the
horsemen that the whole City sho~uld pay its rightful share.

However, on street improvements that go by, City parks the
citizens in that neighborhood pick up the assessment costs
for the park.

OAKRIDGE ESTATES:

Enclosure (D3-f) contains a letter from Oakridge Realty re-
questing that the City finish 'remaining work on Oakridge
Estates. The City .is currently holding a letter of credit in
the amount of $10,000 from the First National Bank of Anoka.

I guess the City would have to bid out the remaining work that
has to be done on this plat and use the letter of credit.

INSURANCE:

I attended the insurance seminar over at St. Paul that is
being sponsored by the Minnesota League of Cities. The
sminar was very good and covered a lot of ground.

Insurance is a difficult field which requires a lot of re-
search work and time. Consequently, I guess I will just
need more time to evaluate what is being offered by the League.
